Simple and Delicious Homemade Cupcakes: A Foolproof Recipe

 


 Here's a simple and easy cupcake recipe that makes about 12 cupcakes:

Ingredients:

    • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once the cupcakes are cool, decorate them with frosting, sprinkles, or other toppings of your choice.
